Why is there no more Christmas at school anymore?

Remember the days when we were of for Christmas vacation (not winter break)? My son came home last year with color pages of a manorah (i know i mispelled that one) and pages representing kwanza. What happend to Baby Jesus in the manger??? Is this right? Shouldn’t they do all religions or none? I’m deeply offended by this…..if it happens this year should I complain?

You should absolutely complain! And you are right, America is a country where we are free to serve the God we choose. We have just as many rights as any others and, Christmas has been celebrated in this country as a national holiday since long before the Civil War. If we are not allowed to celebrate the birth of our Savior and the traditions of our forefathers, then they better do away with all religious holidays along with George Washington’s birthday, Martin Luther King’s birthday, Memorial day, and, what the heck, New years day too and any other day.

I too am sick of it! I have a four year old going to school next year, and if that is how it is going to be, I am opting for home schooling or a private Christian school where we won’t have to compromise our beliefs so as not to offend others. Jesus was so offensive to the people of His day that they crucified Him for it. Today, His name still holds the same power….people are afraid of it, because He is a light that shines into the heart of man and they don’t like what is being revealed there, so , just like then, they want to kill the Light, but they can’t, at least not in me or my family.

I hope you take a stand this year and God bless you!
