Many take the whole only “through” Jesus thing to automatically think we need Jesus himself as a mediator. Well I admit, some people do need a mediator. But even if he was saying no one was going to God except “through” him and meant it, could it have applied to the times, just as slavery and sexist female roles applied to the times?

I mean, the Bible says we can all become sons and daughters of God. Maybe there have been other sons and daughters alive more recently that we can also look to as an example of how to become one with God.
The Dalai Llama would be a good example. So would Haile Salassie. Maybe there are others we have met that have touched our lives but that are not famous.
