how do you get to heaven ? is it through babptism or aceppting Jesus as your saviour?

just having a debate on catholic belief and christan belief,iam from a catholic background but have just recently turned more towards christantyin a gospel church

        Salvation is a free gift (Eph. 2:8) — but there are certain things Jesus asks of you in response to that free gift (John 14:23,24). Thus, the correct answer is both; but, it must also be combined with repentance (Mark 16:16). When you accept Jesus as your Saviour, you will repent and be baptized (Acts 2:38) as He was — by immersion (Mat. 3:16,17). For those that *can’t* be baptized (such as the thief on the cross), Jesus was also *baptized* in their place (Mat. 3:13-15).
