Was Jesus Wall-eye?

I just watched Jesus Christ Superstar (the movie of the musical by Sir Lord Webber and Rice). What music Extraordinary! For the film, however, why did they cast a clear case of a man squinting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wall-eyed in the role of man "PURFECT" knowing he would have frequent close up?

This is the second question I have excellent have read on Y! At today. Mr Bravo, Bravo. I simply have no answer. Except this! It is impossible to recast a perfect man in the role of Jesus Chrsit without Jesus Christ himself to play the role! I win.
