can someone explain the economic stimulus plan?

I read the artidcle on the home page of Yahoo, and for me, sounds like the government throwing money out the window. I can see how it would temporarily solve the problems, but so what? My temper, is that the government should stay out of it for most. the 40s when the Great Depression began, we learned later whole situation has worsened because of the participation overpoweering government. I think if the gov't is too much in this not the same thing could happen to again. thoughts …? And oh, do not call me stupid because fcuk im doubting your precious President. It isn't Jesus, remember?

Stepping back, try to see things from a different perspective. Imagine a Democrat or Republican are just two sides of same coin. Imagine that the government does not help. Logically one could say they are not here to help us, when have they ever helped you? What politicians really do? They spend money, they will say to her this or that (to get your vote). In fact, when the money is going to their friends and people who paid to get elected. What you see now is a frantic grab for public money by politicians who know the empire would last then no more of their time in elected office.
