I can understand why you would be upset. I can understand why you would take offense. Even hate me.
I understand but I’m not sorry. I’m not responsible for your insecurity, and I’m not going to put on blinders and live a lie because of it to make you feel more secure… not for you.. not for anybody.

What do YOU hinge your life on? What motivates you to get up every morning?
For me it’s the smile on my 1.5 yr old son’s face when I wake him up each morning. Before that? Survival, and the hope of finding love. And on certain days, (not my LIFE necessarily 
) my day hinges on my morning Lucky Charms.
I’m an atheist, too. I’ve been asked more than once if I’d ever consider being romantically involved with a Christian. Or if I’d even have a close friendship with a Christian. My answer is always no to both. The asker is invariably surprised by my answer. But the first sentence in your posting here says it all. That’s just too big a gulf to bridge. And how can you have any kind of a trusting, respectful relationship with someone who truly believes that you’re going to spend eternity being tortured… and that you deserve it? Just can’t do it.
And, BTW, Cocoa Pebbles are far superior to Lucky Charms.
