What are your thoughts and beliefs on the Shroud of Turin?

I just watched an astounding show (The Face of Jesus) on the History Channel about this amazing artifact. While no presumptions on it were conclusive, they did come to the determination that it’s still “unknown” what it really is.
The carbon dating is in question I do understand. But do you know the pieces that were tested are all from the corners (edge) of the shroud. Many scientists believe with the contamination of people holding it (over thousands of years) that it could affect the dating making the test inaccurate.

I don’t know if it’s the burial shroud of jesus or not. But it’s certainly not worthy of simple dismissal as a fake.

If it was created during medieval times, then it amazes me that someone then would have the technology to create something that could fool modern scientists and not be explained despite hundreds of hours of scientific research.

Especially something that’s image is created in negative, and can be extruded into the shape of a human likeness using modern 3D software. What medieval prankster could create such a thing? With no dies, pigments, inks, or chemicals that can be traced? Yet with real human blood splattering the linen consistent with the scriptural accounts of the Christ’s wounds.

It’s truly an amazing mystery.
