Why is it that i am afraid of…..?

pictures, figurines, paintings, etc. of jesus christ. something about even hearing about him sends a chill down my spine.
nothing else has that sort of affect on me.
the most vile, cruel, nasty, gory, and dark things to most people seem funny or cool/interesting to me.
but i hate the holidays, parties, social gatherings, comedies, and sports that most people seem to have a lot of fun w/.
i have never had fun when it was seemingly normal, never thought “normal funny things” were funny, and i have always been really mad and mean all the time.

I’m not sad at funerals. In fact the only reason I might possibly get upset is over the guilt I feel knowing that other people are upset and I should be too but am not.

The one thing that always gets me is noble self-sacrifice, and that sure is a common theme in all Jesus pictures.

You may just be less emotional as a person, and knowing of Jesus’s willingness to submit to torture for ungrateful people who he never met might be something just overwhelming and incomprehensible to you. I know it blows me away to think of someone loving and caring that much. I always tear up when I see Aslan getting tied to that stone.

You might feel guilty you don’t feel that way, or it might make you uncomfortable at your own behavior to think of His example.

Or maybe it’s just the simplest answer. Maybe the lord is trying to convict your heart regarding how you treat others.
