Idea for an in memory of tattoo?

A close friend of mine suddenly died a few days ago. My twin brother, good friend and I are all considering getting/adding onto tattoos in memory of our friend.
I’m not the kind of girl who one would assume would have tattoos, so I want it to be rather small. I am planning on putting it on my upper back/shoulder blade. I know for sure that I want it to have his initials, the date that he died and the Bible verse that was on his tattoo. My only problem is, should I just get that or should I add in a design? I was thinking something like a Jesus fish or a cross, but I’m not sure, and I don’t want something too big and flashy.

i think a small, simple fish would look nice with what you are already planning to get. i’m sorry for your loss.
