did the 10 commandments become redundant when Jesus installed the “golden rule”?

Jesus summarized the 10 commandments.

Your answer is best answered in a book by Henry Drummond called the Greatest Thing in the World. In it he talks about how if you just love God then all the other commandments and Jesus’s “Golden Rule” are just one issue!

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. ” If you love God, he is first, if you love God you won’t make idols, if you love God you won’t murder his creations, or be jealous of others etc. If anything in the beatitudes in Matthew Jesus expands and shows how it is the heart and love that must be right and by that we will eagerly do onto others as we would like them to do to us… even if they won’t return that action or feeling!
