Jesus Hands Nail
Holes in the hands of Jesus in the sky?
Hello, I heard that in heaven the nail holes of Calvary is still in the hands Jesus. Does anyone have a Scripture where this idea comes from?
John 20:24-29 shows that they were still there after the Resurrection – Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. The other disciples to him said: "We have seen the Lord!" But he said: "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I do not think so. "A week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Although doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said: "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas: "Put your finger here, see my hands. Reaching out and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe. "Thomas said," My Lord and my God! Perhaps Paul could not believe that Jesus was resurrected scored, but who knows if he thought that the glory "or" spiritual "bodies of ordinary people were the same as that of Jesus – it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. In his right hand he held seven stars, and his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. His face was like the sun shines in all its glory. When I saw him I fell at his feet as dead. Then he laid his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One: I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I have the keys of death and Hades. … "The popular image of Christian of Christ in heaven, he still has scars, but in a glorified state and this seems to be supported by the "Doubting Thomas" John story above. And some people are hyper-religious said to have had the stigmata, being afflicted wiith the wounds of Christ.
