Jesus Icon Images
Catholics why didn’t apostles or early christians make images/statues of ’saints’ and intercede to them?
Why does those who read the new testament always feel the practice of “intercession to saints” as something very strange,since not only new testament says jesus is the only intercessor b/n mankind and god and that we should ask directly to god in jesus name,since our sins are forgiven by the precious blood of christ,there are many verses that implicate praying/worshiping using images/statues as idolatry,even if you say you don’t worship it.If you didn’t attribute divinity to those images/statues(icons) of ’saints’,then why do you use them in prayer/worship?…Don’t beat around the bush,and bring judgment of god on yourself,accept the truth that you are doing idolatry,and repent,god will certainly forgive you because of christ jesus.
THERE IS NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF MYSELF,BUT I TAKE PRIDE IN THE LORD JESUS WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED,AND BECAUSE OF HIM I ASKED THIS QUESTION.
Why did an angry, and undoubtedly sexually frustrated Pope chisel all the penis’s off the statues in the Vatican? Who knows?
