Jesus Jewish Law

Why do Christians follow the ten commandments but not the jewish law?
Isn’t the ten commandments a huge part of the jewish law? If Jesus came, lived a perfect life and fulfilled the law then we don’t have to follow the law. Doesn’t that include the ten commandments that he fulfilled? Or are the ten commandments some how set apart from the rest of the law?
Jesus did fulfil the law – the whole law, including the ten commandments. But, when we follow the Lord we end up following most of the ten commandments. If we love the Lord and do what is right we are not going to steal, murder, commit adultery etc..
