If Jesus was Jewish, so was the Virgin Mary as the Jews?

I heard from the Jewish law that the mother needs to be Jewish and that Jews say that Jesus was Jewish, they also that Mary was Jewish? Is the Bible says through or is it based on something? In this case, Mary and Jesus observed the Sabbath as the Jews during this time? I mean, we're sure they were Jews, taking account non-Jews also lived in the land, and considering no other Jews who had Mary as a name? Or is it an opinion?

Well, I try not to say, but I think common sense would require that the answer is: "Yes, of course." Genetically speaking of Jesus could not be Jewish unless the mother of his flesh was also Jewish. However, If you want Biblical references: Matthew 2 and Luke 2 speak of Mary is in the lineage of the tribe Judah (hence the term Jew is derived and eventually became a common reference for all Israelites). In Luke 1 Mary's cousin Elizabeth, which is the tribe of Levi (also a Jew). Luke 3 gives the genealogy of Mary (line), its connection to the tribe of Judah as well.
