Telling little homeless kids about Christ?

I’m 17 years old and have started volunteering at a place where homeless families are fed. I work with the little kids. I want to tell them about Jesus but am not really sure what to say and how to explain it to them. They’re pretty young. I brought in coloring pages of Jesus and that was a little helpful. I asked them “do you know who this is?” But I didn’t really know what to say after that. Any suggestions? Remember, I’m talking to five year olds.

Keep it simple with little kids.

You’re in a tough situation because you will be faced with the “If there is a God, why am I homeless…hungry…cold…whatever” types of questions.

You’d better have good answers.
The best way, in my many years of experience, to bring people, even little kids, to Jesus is to act like He would act.
It sounds like you are well on your way, but don’t let negativity and naysayers bring you down. Treat everyone with love and respect, even when they don’t return it.

Remember that the Gospel message is ridiculously simple. It’s meant to be. Just focus on positive things, and you should be alright.

And, for goodness sakes…don’t listen to anonymous trolls on internet groups.
