Jesus Lives Ministry
The bible does not explain where jesus was for those missing 18 years. Why is this?
I recently posted a question on this site and purposely asked about the 18 or so years missing in Jesus’ life before his ministry on earth and did not receive the answer I was looking for. Some of the answers were very good and some very crude! I am still seeking the right answer.
This is what the Scripture tells us, after Jesus, at age twelve, left Jerusalem and returned to Nazareth with His parents:
“Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”
Luke 2:51-52
I think this verse from the Old Testament is applicable here:
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
Deuteronomy 29:29
I think fanciful speculation and some of the downright silly notions that suggest He went to India and was taught by the gurus is dangerous thinking.
Paul somewhere warns us not to go beyond the things that are written.
