is there anything wrong with the movie?
the actor playing Jesus is reallllllly cute,,lol
omg,, leave Bowie out of it, serioiusly answer the question,,,, if your a CATHOLIC OR CHRISTIAN,,, DERRRRRRRR can u even read????
Hello,
I loved it and can sing the whole movie through by heart. The Catholic church had no problem with it at all when it came out. I only thought that the fellow in the movie who played Jesus was perhaps a little higher strung emotionally than Jesus would have been.
What I liked about the movie was the symbolism. When I was young at that time and had quite a few doubts about my faith, I always questioned as Judas did in one of the songs as to why the hell Jesus had to be born and come in such an ancient and strange time when today he could have used the mass media, been more accepted and certainly not killed in such a dreadful way.
Well the movie is filmed on those ancient ruins, you see the Roman soldiers with an ancient spear
as well as an Uzi sub machine gun, red cloaks but American helmets, tanks instead of chariots and the scene in the temple market where modern dope through to assault rifles were being peddled.
All of a sudden I realized, bingo, technology changes but our social attitudes do not so things would have been much the same.
So based on my thoughts above, yes, the movie is great from a religious point of view!
Cheers,
Michael Kelly

The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album $5.08 At the time of its release, this was the watershed for soundtracks, selling a kazillion copies. The album is as much a testament to the production of Babyface who, through the mid-1990s, actually was the mainstr… |
