Renaissance Art

sculpture by Michelangelo was first relief to a battle at the age of 16 years. He then created the Madonna of the stairs, which he confirmed that talented in this work he was attempting to show the movement and strength. In Rome, he carved a marble statue Bacchus and at the same time, he carved a statue of Mary with Jesus lying dead on his knees. This piece, the Pietà, was created 23. The statue is larger than life size and is now seen in the church of St. Peter's. After his return to Florence, Michelangelo David produced the magnificent, virile and athletic, it should heroically.

Michelangelo met Leonardo da Vinci in Florence between 1501 and year 1505. Together, they created the masterpiece of the great battle scenes for the walls of the hall. From there, Michelangelo does large projects. He began working on the marble statues for Pope Julius II Tomb. He was commissioned to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, and he illustrated history of Genesis, where he illustrated the story of Adam and Eve.

Before completing his work on the tomb, Michelangelo was commissioned to paint the project the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. In these panels, it illustrates the story of Genesis with scenes of God creating the world, the story of Adam Eve, the story of Noah and the Flood. He completed this work in four years, 1508-1512. He then returned to his work on the tomb of Pope Julius II, ultimately making statues of Moses and two prisoners and another 37 masterpieces beautifully carved.

Michelangelo spent of 1515 years to 1534 working on the Medici Chapel. He made two statues of princes, and the figures of the dawn and evening. He also designed the plans for the chapel. It was his first architectural project.

Pope Paul III asked Michelangelo to paint the walls continue to Sistine Chapel. In this table, it showed the resurrection and the Judgement of Mankind.

Michelangelo and da Vinci have many points of similarity and differences. The more similar they were – they are both artists of the Renaissance, which means they wanted to return to both the art in any its original glory in Rome. However, the biggest difference was how they chose to do so.

Michelangelo chose to turn to drawing and sculpture (we all know David and the Sistine Chapel for example). He chose to return to the art world back to the worship of a human body. He was very specific about the human form and took it to perfection. He noted that the human body is a fascinating work of art and wished create their own "gods" of beauty.

Leonardo da Vinci chose to take art to a scientific perspective. He drew the figures as research in the beginning, and once he understood both inside and outside the organization he started to create masterpieces. It was very big on details of all kinds, from body and ending with a cloth and landscape. Michelangelo less tissue in his paintings and creates the characters very muscular, while da Vinci examined in detail and fabric for the face. (James, 2005)
