Why do Christians make images of Jesus when they are commanded: “Thou shalt make no graven images”?

I mean, churches are full of stain glass windows depicting images of Jesus;

and then there are the big wooden crucifixes with images of Jesus carved on them fixed outside many churches;

and then there are the pieces of jewellery that are carved into the shape of crucifixes with images of Jesus on them……..

Please explain………isn’t this similar to, if not, a form of idol worship??

Those that make images of anything to ‘help’ focus their attention have overstepped the Bible.
Jehovah’s Witnesses, not only do not make images, they also believe that God is not a trinity.
