Prayer rug?

I rec’d a piece of paper in the mail today with a picture of Jesus on it. Its from St Matthews Church in Tulsa OK.. (i live in OH).. It says for me to say a prayer with this over my knees, then i am to place it in the Bible on Philippians 4:19 and leave it there over night, then in the morning i am supposed to mail it back. I have rec’d this before and just threw it away. But i have been going through tough times the past few weeks so i didn’t know if this was something that i should do… has anyone ever heard of this?
by the way, they did not ask for money.

weird that you received it at just this time – when things are so tough. did you read the verse in Philippians? But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ!
i’ve never heard of this but i have heard that “God works in mysterious ways”. maybe this was a reminder for you that God is there, working in your life and you need to give it all to Him. probably not by some piece of paper but maybe just by trying to refocus.
i think the whole thing is like the story of pastor likes to tell from time to time about a man who with the weight of the world from problems at work and health…. he would stop at the tree in front of his home, “hang” his troubles on the tree – giving them to God – and then enter the home with his wife and kids so as not to burden them. when he would leave in the morning — some of those troubles would have disappeared and others would seem lighter.
