Does the Prodigal Son story (Luke 15:11-32) represent the Original Gospel in a nutshell?

Jesus wanted us to pray like this: “Our Father…” And the son simply remembered the wealth of his Father and simply walked home.

I’m not certain what you are really asking here but I’ll give it my best shot. The parable if the Prodigal Son was used to illustrate that those that stray away from the Lord and return, are still loved and it is even more joyful for Christ to receive the sinner than one who has never strayed.
