Jesus Puzzle
Seems an outrageous idea – but there is indeed a strange coincidences involving Shakespeare and Psalm number 46 in the King James Version of the Bible.
The first is: William Shakespeare was born April 23, 1564. This tells us that it was the age of 46 years during the almost four years in 1611 – during months. It was the same year that the King James Version of the Bible was published.
Then, take a look at Psalm 46 from the King James Version. What exactly is the 46th word?
Psalm 46: To the chief musician for the son of Korah, a song on alamoth.
1 God is our refuge and our strength, aid in distress.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be in the middle of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river whose currents are glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.
5 God is within her, she should not be moved: God is his help, and the right to start.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, the devastation it has wrought in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease to the ends of the earth, he shattered the bow lance and cutteth in Sunder, he burns the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The LORD of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
Well, now, from the end of the Psalm with the refuge word (We ignore "Selah" because it is the equivalent of "Amen") consists of exactly 46 words back …
You should have found the words to be shaken and launch … Interesting, is not it?
Now we will take the numbers 4 and 6 and add them together: 4 + 6 = 10. Take a look to the tenth verse of the Psalm:
10 Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The count in 6 words. What you get? Count the words in 4 more. What do you get?
When you count in 6 words we see "I" followed by "h". Then four more words gives "control". Of course, rearranging – 6 and 4-4 and 6 (as 46), we get: "William".
So Shakespeare did have a hand in this area? He seems a coincidence that quite amazing, so maybe he did. Of course, it was certainly able. Shakespeare has been recognized as a talented artist of his time. He was favored by the same court that ordered the authorized version. There is also true that this type of word puzzle would not have been out of character for the bard, who enjoyed the games of this nature. It is also possible that it was his way of signing his work on a project that was to be as anonymous as possible.
True or not – for the fan of Shakespeare – it is certainly fun contemplate the possibility!
