Jesus Resurrection Quotes

Could it be possible that Jesus Christ was a great teacher or social reformer but neither God nor Son of God?
Christians, do give quotes from Bible to support your answer..A bible would always support the divinity of Jesus..After all, Bible was just written by men..There is no evidence of his resurrection apart from what is written in Bible..THere is no evidence of his miracles apart from what is given in Bible..THere is evidence of Virgin Birth apart from what is given in bible
I am Christian..but lately I get this strong feeling..Was he just a great “man” whose status was raised to God for political reasons..or really he is a Son of God???
Correction:
THere is NO evidence of Virgin Birth apart from what is given in bible
If Jesus Christ was merely a great teacher and a social reformer, but not the Son of God (which is an ascription of deity), then he was either a mad-man, a liar, or a wicked person. Even though Jesus spoke mainly of himself as the Son of Man, he also stated clearly that he was the Son of God. Remember when Simon Peter declared, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!” and Jesus responded, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.” (Mat. 16:13-17) Also, recall the three occasions when God spoke from heaven, the Holy Spirit also being present, to confirm audibly that Jesus was his beloved Son. Think upon how Satan the devil tried to get Jesus to doubt that he was the Son of God with two of his temptations in the wilderness (Mat. 3:13-4:11). All attempts to get us to doubt that Jesus is the Son of God comes from that same, satanic source. You seem to be falling prey to his wiles. Soak your mind in the scriptures and you will discover just who Jesus is – but as with Peter, a revelation by the Holy Spirit is required.
If you do not believe that Jesus Christ was crucified then rose from the dead three days later, you cannot call yourself a Christian. That was what Jesus pointed out to his followers before he ascended back to heaven. Over 500 people saw him resurrected! He said, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins wil be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.” (Luke 24:44-49) If you cannot witness to others those basic facts of Christianity, you are not a Christian. Don’t forget either, Jesus concluded by saying that they would be enabled by the pouring out of the Holy Spirit upon them.
There were absolutely no political reasons for elevating Jesus to the status of God. First century Christians worshipped him as God even before his resurrection, and after it. Remember doubting Thomas? (John 20:24-29) Remember the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, after the crucifixion? Jesus appeared and rebuked them for still thinking he was supposed to restore the political kingdom on earth! (Luke 24:13-35) He opened up the scriptures to them to prove why he had to be crucified then resurrected. It might be that you need to get back to the scriptures, and to seek the Holy Spirit’s enabling to have your mind opened up, as did those two on the road to Emmaus. May you not only meet with the risen Christ, but come to adore him as the only Saviour and Lord of mankind!
