Songs about wanting your friend to find Jesus?

I have a friend who is an atheist and I know he’s a good person but he doesn’t believe in Jesus and I really don’t know how to make him understand. How can I get him to understand? I can’t bear the thought of him going to hell. Also, are there any songs about wanting your friend to be saved? or similar to that? I’d appreciate it, thank you.

So you want your friend to adopt your religion so you can feel better?

If you care about this person, accept him for who he is and what he believes (or doesn’t believe). If you’re pushy about your religion, you’re only going to push your friend away. Try to put yourself in his shoes. If he was a rabid atheist bent on making you ’see the truth’ that there is no god, to the point where he plays atheistic songs for you to make you understand…would you really hang around? Spirituality is very intimate, you can’t expect to bully your way in and throw a fit until everyone agrees with you.

I don’t believe the only two choices for the afterlife are heaven and hell, but obviously you do and it’s this belief that’s causing you distress. Since it’s your belief that’s got you upset, this may be a good time to re-examine those beliefs and make sure they still work for you.

Bottom line, be a good friend to him by accepting him for who he is, don’t try to change him. Trust that this ‘good person’ will be able to sort out his own spiritual situation, and if he feels like he needs you help, he can always talk to you.

It probably wouldn’t hurt you to do a little bit of listening as well.
