Islam vs Christianity – Was Jesus God? Was Jesus Crucified?

A Muslims was telling me that Jesus was not God and that Jesus was never crucified. He showed that the Quran (sp?) says this and then he showed me verses in the Bible which seem like they say something like that. What is the truth?

Point blank, the Bible states emphatically that JESUS IS GOD. And the Bible states unambiguously that JESUS WAS EXECUTED VIA CRUCIFIXION. Muslims try to skew these facts by playing a game of scriptural pick and choose with the Bible (i.e. they try to cite passages they can twist into fitting their preconceived agenda, and reject any verse which flatly contradicts them as a “corruption”).
