Jesus as a social revolutionary?

Can anyone recommend any books that discuss Jesus as a social revolutionary? Before you go freaking crazy, relax. I don’t want a million people to say, “READ the BIBLE you heathen!” And I’m not talking about Jesus as trying to start a *revolution*, which he cleary didn’t come to do. However, Jesus hung around with tax collectors, lepers, harlots, and other social outcasts. His words and actions demanded radical social change. I’m looking for a book that talks about the social/historical aspects that shed some more light on what Jesus was like and how he can be viewed as a social revolutionary. Thanks.

I’m sorry I forget the author’s name, but there is a book entitled The Historical Jesus that I understand speaks to His revolutionary approach to social problems.
