seeing jesus illusions
anyone seen the illusion of jesus where if you stare, his face can be seen? how can i make one of those?

anyone know?
Theres an optical illusion where if you stare into a black and white image of something for 30 seconds you can then move your eyes and blink them while looking at the wall or paper, and see the face of jesus. How can i make one of these? I want to do this with my friend’s picture so i may see a picture of her on the wall or something.
-edit: PEOPLE! STOP SENDING ME THE LINK TO THE ILLUSION, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO MAKE MY OWN NOW SEE THAT AGAIN.
Didn’t mean to say now, meant Not

It’s called an after image. It will work with any complimentary colors. Black and white are compliments, purple and yellow, green and red and blue and orange.

All you do is figure out what you want to draw, keep it simple with solid shapes like the Jesus illusion. Then if you want the image they see after they look away to be say purple, make that part in the drawing yellow. So the drawing will be yellow when they look at the drawing for 30-60 seconds and look away they’ll see it in purple. Make sense?? You can get more complicated with it if you want.

An artist named Jasper Johns created a painting of the american flag orange green and black, why? The orange was where the stars go, the green where the red stripes are and the black where the white stripes and stars are, why? Because those are the complimentary colors. He wanted the viewer to see the actual american flag when they looked at the white board he had next to the painting, so he painted the “blue” part orange, the “red” part green and the “white” parts black. Make sense? Cool! Have fun with it!! Here’s a link to Jasper John’s painting, http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/post/hob_69.701.2.htm
